Sasa-ginni-gak Lake

Over 8600 surface acres of pristine wilderness is your playground for your stay at Sas Lodge. Just imagine the endless possibilities of shoreline and underwater structure that this beautiful lake will offer you. With over 100 islands and 177 miles of shoreline you can fish ‘til your heart’s content, trolling, jigging and casting all the way!

The Lodge that’s Not a Lodge

It may sound like a funny thing to say, but it really sums up the fact that our lodge is not like most others in the province. Our philosophy is to offer our guests a very flexible and personal experience. What we don’t do gives our guests more of the things they want.

They want time with their buddies or with their families kicking back and having some laughs. Planning which fishing spots they are going to hit today. Taking the boat out early, or maybe later in the day. Preparing the fish they caught that day together, to eat together. A private cabin where they can be themselves. There may be other guests at the lodge but you won’t necessarily interact with them.

Our staff will look after anything you need, you just have to ask. But otherwise we’ll leave you be to enjoy your time, your way. For those who think they would love an outcamp experience, Sas Lodge often fits the bill. Total freedom and flexibility, but someone always there to lend a hand. This has been the norm at Sas for decades, and our guests love it!

Where you will stay

The camp at Sas is situated on the point of an island, in the middle of our beautiful lake. The various sized cabins are sprinkled along the shoreline. The main lodge building is where you will find our staff to answer a question or help you with anything you need. This is also where you will find our small store humbly offering a choice of snacks, bug spray, fishing lures and minnows.

We offer three types of cabins which range from two beds up to ten beds:

Our STANDARD CABINS are of log construction with new windows, roofs and decks. These modest cabins are perfect for those that are intent on doing some hard fishing and just want a comfy bed at the end of the day. These cabins also serve as overflow if you are booking one of the larger cabins but need some extra beds for your group. These cabins share the centrally located washrooms (flush toilets, showers).
CABIN 3 – One rom cabin, sleeps 2 guests
CABIN 4 – One room cabin, sleeps 2 guests
CABIN 5 – Sleeping cabin, Kitchen cabin, sleeps 4 guests
CABIN 7 – 2 semi-private bedrooms, sleeps 6 guests

Our DELUXE CABINS are frame constructed with cedar siding and tongue and groove pine on the interior walls. Hand carved log tables and chairs are fitting for our wilderness setting. All cabins have one bathroom with flush toilet and shower. Cabins have two or three bedrooms and decks overlooking the sunset!
MASTER ANGLER CABIN – 3 bedrooms, sleeps up to 9 guests

Our EXECUTIVE CABINS opened in 2011 and 2013 and each are situated in their own private bays. They are finished beautifully with cedar siding and tongue and groove pine in the interiors. Log tables and chairs provide space for dining as well as stools at the kitchen counter. Leather sofas or armchairs offer additional seating near the wood stove. Each cabin has two spacious bedrooms and spacious decks, just a stone’s throw from the water!
CABIN SUPER SIX – 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, sleeps up to 10 guests
TAMARACK RIDGE CABIN – 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps up to 8 guests
